Think of me more as a professional English coach. I hold a Master's degree in Teaching and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Business. I have professional experience in the marketing and sales industries and I have taught English for nine years. My clients include engineers, scientists, lawyers, computer/technology professionals, app designers, consultants, managers, entrepreneurs, PhD students, and many others from Asia, Europe and South America. I offer encouragement for students looking to build their confidence speaking English. As a native English speaker, I specialize in on-the-job practice, building confidence, and pronunciation. I speak "neutral American English," which is the accent appearing on TV series and Hollywood movies. I have a Master's degree in teaching and a Bachelor's degree in journalism and business. Lessons can be approached two ways: 1.) Informal Tutoring courses use “small talk”/conversational practice (travel, culture, news, politics, movies, food, etc.), or 2.) Business English courses practice industry-specific dialogue (Business English, Professional English, Job Interview preparation, etc.). Karla is a nice and patient teacher. She always clarifies all of my doubts, and keeps me hooked. Her lessons are engaging and well-prepared, but she´s flexible, and let the class flow naturally. Time really flies with her!
