I was born and bred in Lisbon but I moved to Scotland in 2008 where I still live and work. I am currently teaching Portuguese and ESOL at a language school in Glasgow. I am passionate about learning languages but also teaching them. Eu cresci and Lisboa practicamente no centro da cidade, mas no final de 2008 mudei-me para a Escócia onde ainda vivo. De momento vivo em Glasgow e ensino Português numa escola de línguas. Since I have learnt languages myself I know how it feels to be a student. Therefore I am a patient and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys motivating and inspiring students to learn a language. I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable and fulfilling. Visto ter aprendido (e ainda estar a aprender) línguas estrangeiras eu reconheço os desafios relacionados com aprender uma língua. Por essa razão eu sou uma professora muito paciente que gosta de motivar e inspirar os seus alunos. Eu acredito que aprender uma língua deve ser agradável e recompensador. In my lessons I tend to use a range of authentic materials from videos to grammar and vocabulary games. I am also aware that Portuguese people tend to use a variety of idioms and expressions in their daily lives, for that reason a big part of my lessons incorporate conversational Portuguese.
