Konnichiwa! I'm Yoko. I'm a fun-loving and easy-going person. I speak English and French. I have two kids so I know how to have fun with them! I love meeting new people all around the world. I lived and traveled in many countries so far, it's so intriguing to see how we are different, but also we can make connections even we don't speak the same language! Traveling is such a great way of discovering the world and myself. I love yoga, walking, and having a lazy Saturday morning in my bed... I love feeling the four beautiful seasons of Japan and strolling in my favorite park with my coffee :) I have the experience to help friends learning Japanese. I always tried to support and understand what's better to help to improve their Japanese. To see them improving and enjoying Japanese made me really happy. Although I've never taught Japanese as a professional teacher, as I learned English and French for so long, I remember how I wanted to be helped by my teacher. From that experience, I have many tips to share with you in my lesson. My lesson will mostly be conversation-based. It will be great if you could share a topic or anything you want to learn in my class beforehand. With this information, I can prepare the class for you. I want you to feel relaxed in my lesson. Relax is the key to learn Japanese. I will always be supporting you in my lesson. I'm flexible and patient so you can ask me anything.

My first lesson with Yoko-san exceeded my expectations. I immediately felt comfortable to try my best and speak openly. Yoko-san was quick to assist with corrections, made sure that I understood the sentence structure and patiently guided my repeated attempts as if I were a good friend. Most of all, the lesson time was fun and that really motivates me to study. 本当にありがとう！

I speak almost 0 Japanese and by the end of the 30 minute trial lesson with Yoko I was able to say a few sentences and was recommended some work to do out of the lessons as well. Arigatou gozaimashita Yoko-Sensai

Yoko is always a fun and upbeat teacher. I always feel as welcome as a good friend. She is very patient and extremely helpful when guiding me through our conversations. ありがとうございました。

Had a really great intro lesson with Yoko-Sensei. She tailored the level very well to our abilities and was very patient and explained things well. It was all conducted in Japanese too even though Yoko-sensei's English is very good.

We talked about animals and pets during this lesson. I learned a bunch of phrases about pets, which is awesome. She is really good at asking follow-up questions so that the conversation doesn't get cold. However, I've been in my comfort zone using the grammar I know for too long. I think it's time to use a textbook to stock up more vocabs and grammar.
