My name is Josep and I am from Terrassa, a town near Barcelona, Spain. I am a freelance Spanish, Catalan and French teacher and translator. During my studies, I majored in languages and obtained a Diploma in Translation and Interpretation and a Certification in Education (C.A.P), at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I love languages, teaching, travelling to other countries, foreign cultures, swimming and meditation. My mother tongues are Spanish and Catalan and I speak perfect French, English and a little bit of Italian and Russian. I have lived in different countries: Spain, France and Ireland; and I have recently arrived in Pisa, Italy. I got a certification in Education (C.A.P) specialised in teaching languages, at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2007. I also got a certification in Teaching Spanish as a foreign language at Cálamo & Cran, Barcelona, in 2009. My experience in teaching in France, Spain and Ireland has allowed me to improve my language skills, as well as to increase my ability to adapt to new cultures and environments. I have been teaching at High Schools in France, as a language instructor for companies in Barcelona and Paris, and in private lessons during my years in these countries. I love teaching and am really interested in foreign cultures. I prepare interactive, fun, efficient and engaging activities to different types of learners, from beginner to advanced levels. Quina classe més agradable! Josep had prepared relevant questions and fun activities in order to break the ice and put me at easy from the very start. He asked me about my interests, goals, motivation and assessed my level. We also discussed plans for our learning adventure. Moltes gràcies, Josep! Ens veiem aviat!

Our first lesson was fantastic, a wonderful learning experience and he was able to quickly figure out my speaking level and adjust his teaching to accomodate. The lesson was about a 60/40 split Spanish/ English and I felt as though I was truly learning. Will definitely schedule more lessons in the near future!
