I’m William, a native Portuguese speaker from Rio de Janeiro – Brazil. I have a bachelor degree in IT – Information Technology - I've been working in this field for eight years. Along the years in this field meeting people from many different places in the world I developed a passion for learning languages. In my journey of learning English and Spanish, I found many people online willing to learn Portuguese, with that in the past six months and I'm loving this language exchange experience. ❝Language is the road map of a culture. I'm an outspoken person and a good listener. During our classes, I'll pay attention to your issues/needs/difficulties, always taking notes on them to be discussed during each class and teaching the techniques to fix them. I'll provide lessons to attend your needs! I have a bunch of materials developed which will help you to achieve your goals, including: - presentations - documents with passages from textbooks - images - videos - audios - articles and many others

Today was another fun class with William. As usual, he motivated me to talk as much as possible, keeping the conversation flow smoothly. He provided instant feedback and corrections. He also helped me craft my sentences better - to sound more native. I have had many Portuguese teachers on italki, and I can say without a doubt William is the best teacher on this platform. I cannot say enough good things about him. He makes learning Portuguese super fun! Highly recommend!

So amazing thing in lessons with William - you don't notice how time passes. It seems that only 5 minutes have passed, but it turns out that an hour has already passed. And I really like, that my lessons don`t looks like lessons in language schools and courses where you try to kill time (look in your cell phone, talk to friends):) Thanks for the wonderful lesson, William!
