"You don't have to be great to start but you have to start to be great". - Zig Ziglar.
Hello there, my name is Thembie but you can call me Tenbee. I look forward to meeting and teaching students on this great platform. Teaching is my passion and I have taught English for four years now.
I'm a foodie, a lover of fashion, art, traveling and exploring.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Applied Communication from the University of Fort Hare South Africa and a 120 hour TESOL certificate. I have taught English for four years to both kids and grown adults on one-on-one tutorial sessions. if you are looking to exercise and sharpen your English skills in conversation, comprehension, grammar and more, I would be more than happy to help you.
My tutorial sessions are normally very open and free, i always provide a safe atmosphere for my students to freely engage in the learning process. My students can engage in conversation with me, ask questions and receive honest and constructive feedback.
My teaching style utilises TPR (Total Physical Response) which involves the use of action and gestures to illustrate and demonstrate what I say verbally. This is helpfully in learning a new language as it helps create understanding and releases anxiety from the student, while also making the learning process fun.
