My name is Sylvie. And I've been learning quite a few languages on Italki. You can just youtube my nickname Sylin and you'll see:-) I'm a french native speaker (with a Parisian accent) and I'm looking forward to teaching you this beautiful language. I'm new on Italki, but I'm not new to teaching ! It's been over three years now since I gave my first lesson, in a training center near Paris, and I've learned a lot about teaching since then. Learning can be fun when you make it fun and I will do my best to make our lessons pleasant and entertaining.

As a teacher, I try to make my students feel as comfortable as possible. I reassure them that it's okay to make mistakes. For language learning, you're going to make a lot of mistakes and you might even get very frustrated. That's why I am here to ease that frustration and to provide the best techniques to learn French and gain the confidence to speak at whichever level you desire. I love to see that transformation of my students starting with speaking just a few words to forming elaborate sentences with a great French accent. It is extremely fulfilling to watch my students immerse themselves in the French language just as I did when I was learning.

Grammar and conjugation are not a problem for me because I have been teaching all levels already. I also teach conversation and pronunciation. I got a master degree in French linguistics and literature at the Sorbonne University, in Paris. I lived there for four years and I can say I could learn a lot about the linguistic diversity and the influences from other Francophone countries.
