My name is Deborah, I am 22 years old and I am from the United States. I recently graduated from Salisbury University with a major in Information Systems and a minor in French. My focus was Web Development with a concentration in French Language & Culture. I started learning French at the young age of 5 through my school's French Immersion Program. Not only did I love the language but I loved the culture. I participated in the foreign exchange programs in both France & Quebec. French has become a part of my identity and I am extremely passionate about making it a part of others. As a teacher, I try to make my students feel as comfortable as possible. I reassure them that it's okay to make mistakes. For language learning, you're going to make a lot of mistakes and you might even get very frustrated. That's why I am here to ease that frustration and to provide the best techniques to learn French and gain the confidence to speak at whichever level you desire. I love to see that transformation of my students starting with speaking just a few words to forming elaborate sentences with a great French accent. It is extremely fulfilling to watch my students immerse themselves in the French language just as I did when I was learning. My approach for language learning is for my students to gain the ability to not just translate the language but think in the language. This is so that speaking and writing in a foreign language will flow naturally as if it were your native. For my lessons...
