I taught around 600 lessons on italki and my students come from all over the world (40 different countries and counting). What distinguishes me from other teachers is my passion as well as my strategy. I like to prepare conversation topics, songs, news articles, philosophical questions that have the relevant vocabulary and grammar structures to improve your speaking skills. My personal opinion is that anyone can learn a language: it is not a talent, but a skill. Just like math or riding a skateboard, it is a skill that you can develop. I am here to help you hone in on your skills and succeed in your interview, writing an essay or reading a book in English or German.

I have been teaching German and English for some time and we can adapt each lessons to your individual language skills to make the best out of our time together. You can also suggest topics you would like to talk or learn about, if you want to. We can do classes where we mainly speak so you can improve your language skills and practice.

I have been a Teacher on italki for several years. Before that I studied languages at the University (English, Spanish, French). I have a certificate for teaching languages to adult learners, but my experience expands to helping younger students with their school subjects (History, Literature and foreign languages). I also helped students from all over the world (mostly doctors and software developers) with job applications in Germany. Ich fokussiere mich nicht auf große Ziele, sondern darauf kleine Schritte zu gehen, welche die Fähigkeiten der Lernenden nicht überfordern.

I've been teaching German for many years and I've taught students of all ages. For me, every student is special and I prepare every lesson individually based on your learning style, needs and goals. As a result, I will gradually develop your German and boost your skills and confidence in less time than you thought possible.

Seit meiner ersten Unterrichtserfahrung vor nunmehr 10 Jahren weiß ich, dass ich Deutsch unterrichten will. Mittlerweile habe ich Erfahrung in Deutschland, Italien, Österreich, Spanien und Großbritannien gesammelt und mit den unterschiedlichsten Zielgruppen gearbeitet. Zu meinen Schülerinnen und Schülern gehörten Kinder, Jugendliche, Studenten und Erwachsene auf allen Niveaustufen. Ich sehe mich nicht nur als Sprachlehrende, sondern auch als Vermittlerin landeskundlicher Aspekte und als zertifizierte Goethe- und TestDaF-Prüferin und -Bewerterin gehört auch Prüfungsvorbereitung zu meinem Repertoire.

At the moment, I'm doing my master of education in the subjects Spanish and Physical Education in order to become a high-school teacher. In particular, language teaching didactics is an integral part of my studies. In the past, I've worked in language schools in Germany and Spain teaching German and English. I've had the chance to teach kids, teenagers as well as adults. I believe, with the knowledge I've acquired during my studies mixed with my teaching experience and my own background as a language learner, I'm able to put myself into your position as a language student and design German lessons according to your needs.

I become a German teacher because of my German teacher at school! She made me love German and I started finally to learn it effectively and enjoy it. I wanted to be so good like she was and I went to a college for teachers of German language. I really love individual approach to students and for this reason I started to work as a privates teacher. I hope I will able to make you love German as well!

For several years now, I have had numerous video calls with people from many countries of all continents including a lot of English, French and Spanish native speakers, practising my own foreign languages and helping them to improve their German. So if you speak any of the languages mentioned above, I can assure you that I am very well aware of the typical challenges you encounter with regards to German grammar and pronunciation. I prefer an informal and relaxed teaching style. Besides my passion for languages, I enjoy reading, running, travelling, photography, psychology, philosophy, learning about different lifestyles and cultures, and many more.

Außer meines Freiwilligenjahres in Russland habe ich auch während meines Auslandssemesters in Frankreich Deutsch und Englisch unterrichtet. Except for my voluntary year in Russia, I tought English and German during my semester in France too.

During my schooldays I discovered that I excelled in language classes and I chose English and French as major subjects. Later on, I had the chance to intensify my language skills and add other languages during a vocational training and tourism studies. While I learned those languages in a classical classroom setting, there were no language courses or books available to learn the languages of Malaysia. I had to learn them by listening to and communicating with the local people. I might not have the qualifications of a professional teacher, but I can tap into my experiences of learning languages and I can draw a lot of valuable and useful knowledge from there to share with you.

I love languages. I speak German, Greek and English fluently. German is my mother language.I studied English for 9 years in school and I learned the Greek language in Greece where I live since 14 years. I also made my small latinum when I was making my university entrance exams. After that I worked as a tutor with pupils that needed help in school. I studies languages and math together with them. I really enjoy working with languages and people.

Daher weiß ich was du brauchst um besser Deutsch oder Englisch zu lernen. Sprachen sind einfach, wenn du es richtig angehst! :) Ich versuche mit dir zu reden wie mit einem Freund, sodass du den natürlichen Sprachfluss direkt lernst und vorallem konversationell fortschritte machst. Wenn du fehler machst korrigiere ich dich und lasse dich direkt den Satz richtig wiederholen. As a teacher with experience i know what you need for bettering your skills in german and english. Languages are easy if you know how :) I'll let you do most of the talking and talk to you as i would talk to my friends so you'll learn the natural flow of the language. For the past few years, I've been volunteering with young people in schools to improve their confidence with English. During my time in Germany, I worked for the Red Cross as a learning mentor for a young refugee where I provided English conversation practice and helped him with his schoolwork. My current long-term goal is to become a schoolteacher. As a language learner myself, I understand the difficulties and challenges with learning a language and will be able to help you regardless of how old you are.

Teaching is something I've always wanted to do. I am a patient person and I like to help others. I already had some teaching experiences in university. I speak two different languages and through travels and work I have been exposed to many cultures. I believe this gives me a good understanding of the difficulties new learners may have to understand the tricks of the French language, I will be helping you master them all.

Ich bin immer bestrebt alle Fragen meiner Studenten zu beantworten und Ihnen das beste Spracherlebnis wie möglich zu ermöglichen. Ich versuche die Unterrichtsstunden vielseitig zu gestalten damit sie unterhaltsam, aber auch hilfreich sind. Nichts ist schlimmer als wenn es keinen Spass macht. Es gibt ein Sprichwort das besagt, "Deutsche Sprache, schwere Sprache", aber das muss nicht sein. Deutsch ist eine sehr schöne und vielfältige Sprache mit der man sich sehr gezielt ausdrücken kann. Wir schaffen das! :)

Ich konnte kaum Englisch sprechen als ich nach Amerika gekommen bin. Ich kannte keine andere Person auf dem Campus, die Deutsch sprechen kann. Ich war darauf angewiesen mich in Englisch auszudrücken. Ich weiß, dass es schwierig sein kann aber ich kann dir gut helfen. Ich bin sehr geduldig und erkläre etwas, dass du nicht verstehst, gerne mehrmals. My English was not the greatest when coming to the US. I did not know anyone who speaks German, and I was forced to have conversations in English. I know that it can be difficult, but I am here to help you. I am patient and will gladly repeat myself if you do not understand something.
