As a teacher, I'm very passionate about my work and I truly love helping students improve their abilities and language skills. I've always believed that teaching should be a part of my career because I love it and I believe in its value. I have been a teacher for more than 3 years. in the beginning, like most novice teachers, I couldn't find the balance. I used to drown my students in freer practice because that's how I had learned the language myself. little by little I realized controlled practices aren't all that useless if we direct them properly. However, my experience with international students has taught me that there is a limit to objectivity and impersonal curiosity. Language learning cannot take place unless connection is made and that, was where I had to practice the art of task-design in order to integrate cultural, societal and personal elements.

I started teaching English around 8 years ago. In recent years I've been teaching both teenagers and adults and I've worked with different books, such as Interchange, Passages, Top Notch, Summit, American English File, and so on. I have an M.A. in teaching English as a foreign language and an FCE certificate (First Certificate in English) with a grade A. I'm interested in teaching because it's always been an innate desire for me. I have always been enthusiastic about sharing what I know with other people. I love teaching both English and Persian!

As a teacher and a psychologist, I understand and appreciate individual differences and uniqueness so I treat each student as a unique person with different temperament and personality. I am empathetic and supportive of my students' efforts and perseverance to learn. I have been teaching mostly in the classroom, one on one as well as home teaching. I have a BA in psychology and an MSc in cognitive neuroscience and I've worked for many years in retail and sales so I can understand business English. I like travelling, learning languages, reading, listening to music, watching movies, discussing the news and sports. I can speak conversational Gaeilge, the Irish language, and a little bit of some other languages, including Mandarin. When I travel, I try to learn some of the native language wherever I am as it's a great way to connect with the local people and to better understand the culture of that place.

As a new graduate from the university, I have limited experience in teaching. However, I took part in the CELTA training and acquired the certificate after obtaining my degrees. I believe that I will become a good teacher, as my CELTA tutors assessed: I'm a patient teacher who would make my students confortable during the lesson, I'm able to respond to the feedback and improve my lessons and teaching skills, and most importantly, I am motivated as a teacher.

My experience in learning English started when I was five and for sure it will never end. I have graduated on St Giles College Highgate in London in 2013. During that time I was living in London which left a great impact on my life and my knowledge.
