In my college B.A studies, I studied a wide range of topics related to the English language, including but not limited to : listening and written comprehension, conversation, English & American literature, creative writing & poetry, academic writing, letter writing, journalistic English, business & office English, linguistics, phonology & pronunciation, grammar & syntax etc. I also completed a 120-hour TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course, and I have 4 months of experience (it's not much, I'll give you that, but better than nothing) teaching English to kids and teenagers at a private language school. I can teach either English or French!

I have experience in teaching children Turkish as I volunteered at a Turkish school for two years. I am also learning many languages online myself, therefore I have a lot of experience in online learning& teaching, too.My native language has always impressed me with its regular grammar (Yes, there is no irregular verbs or noun cases in Turkish EVERYTHING follows some kind of a rule!). I taught as a French assistant in English schools for two years and I led linguistic trips for French teenagers in England every summer for 7 years, when I was a student. I am now a French tutor, a yoga teacher and a literary translator. I translate books from English into French.

Prior to becoming a Film Editor, I worked as an English teacher in Guatemala City where I acquired an English Teacher Certificate at IGA (Instituto-Guatemalteco- Americano) While working as a teacher; I had the opportunity to work with different types of people; I taught children, teenagers, and adults. My goal now is to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to every student.

I love teaching and helping people improve and feel confident about speaking a new language, focusing on the strengths and weaknesses of every individual student. My classes are very dynamic, I do not like to focus on grammar but rather on fluency and improving conversational skills. I believe having conversations on various different subjects is the best way to learn and practice a new language. From basic simple topics about everyday life to more complex talks about business, travel and more.

I have studied foreign languages and literatures at university and on my own. I studied at schools and universities in Russia, Malta, Norway and Kazakhstan, so I know differences in educational systems in different countries. I can speak Russian, English, Spanish, Portuguese and some Italian, German, Norwegian, Hebrew, Arabic, Kazakh and Chinese. I have been tutoring students for ten years. I am a patient teacher and love helping people.

Most of my students are of an intermediate - advanced level, but this is not a requirement! I have previous experience working as a teaching assistant at a school in the UK. I have a couple decades of experience teaching in many different settings--college students, corporate executives, lawyers, children, and more. I've worked with multiple different clients from varying cultures. My students describe my personality as easy-going, motivating, engaged, friendly and encouraging. No doubt. I like to encourage students first and to find their strong suit to make them happy and they will find joy in it and think learning is a happy process, then try to tell them what they can do in order to make it better so as to improve themselves. second method is to find what individual likes, and discuss from the part they like, and gradually link what they need to learn to what their hobby is.

I have been teaching ESL for a total of over 30 years, and have been a certified ESL teacher for over 24 years. My passion for teaching comes from my own love of learning languages. I currently speak five languages, and am looking forward to learning more! My firsthand understanding of the challenges one faces when learning a new language gives me a rare insight into how to address students' needs. One of my specialties is bringing students out of their shells, helping them overcome shyness or fear around making mistakes. Seeing my students smile and have fun while learning is my greatest source of joy when teaching. Having fun truly is the best way to learn!

There isn't a clear boundary between "Me as a Teacher" and "Me as someone else". I think this is the best description about me: Teaching is my life. I am devoted to it so I can't separate myself into various faces. All I have is one face; my teaching face. Passionate, boisterous and dynamic, these are the adjectives that best describe my attitude toward teaching and "Me as a Teacher".

I have taught English in the Dominican Republic to children in an orphanage, as well as I have experience teaching Spanish and Italian to classmates and friends who need help.

I have been a teacher now for over 10 years and have taught in Germany, Dubai and England. I love meeting new people and helping them to communicate both within the workplace and also in their private life.
