A Korean who grew up and lived in Korean speaks the Korean language well. Even if a Korean speaks the Korean language well, all of them are not good at teaching the language. The reason is that, speaking the language and teaching it is different. So, I think the teaching skill is very important for teachers. The reasons I will teach well is... 1) I am teaching my kids, Korean school, and Sejong Hakdang for many years. While I was teaching for many years, I learned how to teach a second language as Korean and English. 2) A good thing about me is I am good at teaching and I love my student. 3) I also know how it feels to learn a new language because I learned a second language English.

I am experienced and passionate Korean tutor. I focus on SPEAKING in the class but I also help grammar ,listening, reading and writing as well.

My majors are English Language and Korean as a foreign language. I was fascinated to teach what I know while I was an English teacher in Korea for four years and I learned how to pour love to my students by spending quality time. Moreover, teaching Korean at the university in the USA made me feel more proud of what I am doing as a native speaker. As a teacher, I consider communication as well as knowledge as the top priority to know what students are struggling with and help with it properly. I can be your friend-like teacher!

I have been teaching Korean language to foreigners for two years on my spare time. I participated as a lecturer in marketing courses and tour guide for travel programs as well. I am able to teach from beginner to advanced level.

Ever since I graduated highschool, I started tutoring, and sometimes lecturing in front of a group of middle school students. I try my best to have special bond with students as well as teaching them. I believe, when interests and needs combine together, you can learn the language as fast as you could. A lot of people do have interests or some type of commitment to learn the language, without any real need/goal for it. Let's specify the goal and make it come true!

I graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and I can speak Korean and English. I was born and raised in Korea so you can learn accurate accent and pronunciation. I have experienced teaching Korean language to people all over the world who want to understand K-pop lyrics, to do a business in Korea, to go to Korea University and to live in Korea. I could meet many students who have various level, from beginner to advanced, so I’m specialized in teaching all the level. Currently I’m taking professional course of Korean language as a foreign language and guidance and counseling course to develop my teaching skills professionally.

I have been teaching online for a period of time now. I enjoy talking to people from different cultures (teaching them about my culture and they teach me about their cultures). i enjoy every lesson I have with my students, I hope they do too.

In the beginning, for 3 years, I taught 'Korean to English translation course' at a language school in downtown, Toronto. I continued to teach conversational, essential English and exam preparation (IELTS, TOEIC, TOPIK) for 7 years as a tutor. My target of students were: international students preparing to go into university, primary-junior/high school students, children and adults. I believe that a language learning needs a personalised system and methods. I do my best to first figure out your comfort zone. 처음에는 토론토 시내에 언어 학원에서 '통번역 코스'를 3년동안 가르쳤습니다. 가르치는 내내 지금까지 7년 동안 생활 회화부터 시험 공부 (아이엘츠, 토익)까지 과외 하고 있습니다. 대학교를 준비하는 유학생들부터 초등학교 중학생들, 아이들 그리고 사업 하시는 어르신들도 도와드렸습니다.

지도경험으로는 대학교 조교 인턴생활을 하였습니다. 조교활동을 하면서 학생들과 소통하는 법을 알게 되었고, 어떻게 하면 학생들에게 상처가 되지 않는 방법으로 문제를 해결해 나갈 수 있는지 배웠습니다. 또한 태권도를 하면서 사범자격을 취득하여 수련생들을 지도한 경험이 있습니다. 지도하는 과정에 있어서 학생들과 보다 많은 소통을 할 것입니다. I have been an intern at a university as an assistant instructor. I learned how to communicate with students while teaching as an assistant, and learned how to solve problems in a way that does not hurt them. Also, I have experience of teaching trainees by acquiring a teaching qualification while doing Taekwondo. I will communicate more with students in the course of teaching.

As a language teacher, I have a lot of different interests and hobbies that helped me learning about the cultural and linguistic aspects of the target languages. This includes music, anime, games and reading. I try to connect and share my passion with my students and incorporate them into my lessons. I would love to find out about your hobbies and discuss them for our lessons. I believe that the most important activity to learn a language is to interact with the native speakers. Studying through text books and vocabulary memorisation helps for sure but it is never as fast and effective as having comfortable conversation.

I have taught lots of foreign friends Korean since I stayed in United States. My friends asked me about pronunciation, grammar and K-POP because they were eager to get information on Korean culture. I lived in dorm and spent so much time hanging out with them. Also, I have an american friend staying in Seoul to study and correct his essay and conversational words.
