I have been a teacher since 2014 and have taught in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Budapest (Hungary), Almeria (Spain), Oxford and Edinburgh (U.K.). My speciality is in improving natural oral fluency. I believe that it is vital for students to be able to communicate in the real world, so I place a lot of emphasis on the way we speak naturally. All sorts of grammatical distinctions and clarification are found through these natural discussions. I have taught all ages from 5-70 across a wide range of levels. This includes exam preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge First etc.), business and conversational English. I can provide homework and post-lesson feedback in all courses.

I am a native English speaker with one year of experience teaching English to young students and one year of tutoring experience with adults. During my time as a language assistant in Cannes, France I created lessons that aligned with the specific level of each class, I used a combination of English and French to communicate with the students, and I enjoyed my role as an ambassador for the English language and American culture. While I was there I provided individual English lessons to adults. In these lessons we focused on vocabulary, listening comprehension, and oral comprehension. I am now residing in the United States and have recently received a 40-hour TEFL/TESOL certification.

I taught as a French assistant in English schools for two years and I led linguistic trips for French teenagers in England every summer for 7 years, when I was a student. I am now a French tutor, a yoga teacher and a literary translator. I translate books from English into French.

I was a teacher for many years, and for the past ten years or so I have worked in leadership roles, most recently as a principal in Yangon, Myanmar. As an educator, my greatest strength is my ability to connect with people. Because I have lived in many different countries and experienced so many cultures, I see how people are mostly the same, no matter where they grew up or where they live. My name is Olga and I am a qualified teacher of English, Russian and Greek with a degree from Athens University and Gorlovka teachers' training institute of foreign languages (Ukraine). I started teaching just after my graduation in 2001, first as an English language instructor at the Mining University of Ukraine. After I moved to Greece and continued my career and studies. I worked as an interpreter as well mostly in shipping business. At the moment I am a student myself at the Institute of Chartered shipbrokers, London trying to obtain a professional qualification in this field.

I take a calm and relaxed approach because I want you to feel comfortable and you will get the most out of the lessons if you are feeling relaxed. I'd like to find out about hobbies and interests as well as your specific goals so that the lessons are as interesting and relevant to you as they can be. It's important for me to get to know your preferences, for example whether you want me to give you feedback continually and correct any mistakes you make at the time, or if you prefer me to give more general feedback at the end of the lesson.
