I have been teaching English and Vietnamese for 2 years. I love teaching languages individually because I can clearly see my students' improvement, which is my core motivation.

My name is Nguyen The Vu. I am living in Vung Tau, a beach city next to Sai Gon city in Viet Nam. I have been a classroom and online professional language instructor for more than ten years. I have helped people study our culture and language.

I am a CELTA qualified teacher with an 8.0 overall in IELTS (Speaking 8.0, Reading 8.5 and Listening 8.5) and I have been tutoring teenagers and adults to improve their speaking, pronunciation and listening skills. I have: - 4 years of experience in teaching - taught English, French and Vietnamese lessons to all types of learners - helped some of them with their tests and others with their pure interests in languages ... therefore, I also would love to support and motivate you, beginning from now.

Vietnamese is my native language and I am also good at English. I had 4 years studying in University of social sciences and humanities of Ho Chi Minh city where I saw many foreigners studied Vietnamese. There are 2 purposes to study Vietnamese 1. You just want to know basic Vietnamese in daily life to live here for a short time or to travel. 2. You really want to master Vietnamese as a second language to do business here and live here for a long time. Whatever reasons I can help you both. I am a professional Vietnamese teacher since 2015. I am specialized in Southern accent. I have taught many students from basic level to advanced level, from travellers to businessmen. My lessons can be tailored to your requirements.

I started working as a Vietnamese and English tutor since early September last year, it has been an interesting, and wonderful experience to me personally. While helping an Australian friend study Vietnamese, I accidentally found out about my ability in teaching Languages, with the encouragement of my friend, the journey of me becoming a tutor began! I have seen myself having great passion in languages since I'm studying to become a translator and interpreter now. Always appreciate it to have a chance to introduce Vietnamese to everyone, especially to ones who are living here in the moment, so you can apply it usefully while interacting with local people, and making new local friends!

As for teaching experience, I do not consider myself as a master of teaching. However, the first thing that springs to my mind is that I teach with my passion and enthusiasm. I am not strict with my partner. I do not like putting pressure on my partner's shoulders. I honestly do not want people call me teacher because I think it is good to be their language partner. Together we figure out the best way to study languages quick and efficiently.

I can see myself a flexible and tolerant language teacher. There should not be nothing other than fun and new "wow" knowledge in my class. I would like to help my students to use language as an effective tool to open their eyes to new cultures, histories and people :-)
