Hi, my name is Franziska. I´m a nomad at heart and a very passionate traveler. To me, language is key to immerse yourself in a different culture and really get to know the people you´re meeting. I was born and raised in Germany, so I know the culture by heart of course, and I lived, studied and worked in Australia for almost 7 years - which makes me a bit of an insider for Aussie culture as well. My goal is to bring people closer together and I´m trying to do so with my two most favorite hobbies... cooking and teaching. I currently live in Germany and travel regularly to South East Asia and Australia. I believe learning should be fun. I´m not a professional teacher but over the years I got quite a few opportunities to teach German and English for fun (sometimes, in Myanmar, for example, also for cookies...) and every single time it was a very special experience. To become an even better teacher I´m currently enrolled in a 6 months online TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) course. So if the fun way is the way you like to learn - contact me, I´m looking forward to meeting you! I want you to reach the goals you´ve set for yourself and individualize every lesson to your needs. If you need to improve your reading and/or listening skills, for example, I can offer you reading material and audio files that will support you in doing so. In my lessons I will predominantly use the target language with you, so if you want to learn German, we´ll talk, write and learn in German...

I really enjoyed my first italki class with Franziska. It was great to see the words and phrases written in the chat as we were conversing, to see spelling and word placement. I also really appreciated that she provided other resources for me to keep learning outside of class time! Very fun and informative session.
