Hi. My name is Oscar. I am from Colombia and I speak Spanish as my native language. I have been learning English since I was 5 years old. And Therefore, I use it as a way to get more in depth with my passion, which is languages and all the features languages carry with them. Also, that is one of the reasons why I love to share some of my knowledge of them here. I am experienced in teaching a topic that a lot of students overlook whilst learning a language, which is phonetics. My main focus when it relates to language teaching is putting close attention at its pronunciation, since languages are living entities used to communicate with people, and learning a language's phonology is key in order to break that gap left when speaking in a foreign language. My lessons focus on teaching the various sounds that Spanish and English use to construct words. They will use IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) as the way to portray the sounds of the language and make their comprehension quite straightforward. That way, learners will get abilities to identify the sounds they hear, enhance their communication with that language's native speakers, and get more in contact with its written form.

Excellent lesson! Today, I learned to distinguish different sounds in Spanish. It is hard to pronounce some sounds like 'rr' in Spanish, and Oscar helped me to find the right position to pronounce the sound. Oscar was very patient and professional. The lesson was well-prepared, and I really enjoyed it as always.
