I deem talking about myself as one of the most challenging tasks I have ever faced. This is not because I consider myself to be so awfully sophisticated that words can't do it justice, but because fortunately or unfortunately my mind works in an abstract way which has affected every single aspect of my life. So instead of a personal essay I give you three of my core values; knowledge, accomplishment and the belief that one must live and let live. The last one, I believe is what keeps us going, because deep down inside we're all untamed and wild and in a world full of Kafkaesque predictabilities, it's those little moments of spontaneity that keeps us going I have been a teacher for more than 3 years. in the beginning, like most novice teachers, I couldn't find the balance. I used to drown my students in freer practice because that's how I had learned the language myself. little by little I realized controlled practices aren't all that useless if we direct them properly. However, my experience with international students has taught me that there is a limit to objectivity and impersonal curiosity. Language learning cannot take place unless connection is made and that, was where I had to practice the art of task-design in order to integrate cultural, societal and personal elements.
