I would describe myself as a professional, in the same time funny and supportive teacher. My goal is that the students feel comfortable with me, so that they don't hesitate to ask anything. I learnt languages as a foreigner as well, and I know exactly how to transfer this knowledge to others.

I've been teaching spanish to children of primary and secondary school for the last 10 years and the last year and a half, I've been teaching online platforms. In my experience teaching online platforms I've been teaching all kind of levels of spanish language, from the very first beginners to C2 students, from lessons to empower the academic skills related with the mastering of spanish language ( school, university), helping students to developing business' speeches, or trainning them for job interviews. I'm very committed with my students and their goals.

Although I’ve just started teaching recently on italki, I’ve been teaching English to my ESOL colleagues and friends for years. I autonomously learned Spanish and later developed an interest in a range of languages - from Italian to Arabic, I have spent time getting to know and love languages from all over the world. I also love linguistics, and I am TEFL qualified. These experiences allow me to have a deeper understanding of your various needs and struggles as a language learner.

What I liked the most was the satisfaction of having encouraged someone to see studying as important and not as a boring mandatory activity. I always loved languages and to help fellow students, so now I´m looking forward to doing that again. I am also a very friendly, sympathetic person that is always there to give a hand and hear what you need.

I believe that in order to learn a new language we need to PRACTICE, and I'm sure we agree on this: you want to be able to TALK and UNDERSTAND the foreign language you're learning, this is why I use a communicative approach, together with some grammar and practical activities. As a teacher I am pretty flexible with my teaching methodology, as after some lessons completed I can recognize how the students learn better and tailor the teaching style to their personal needs.

I'm quite patient and very understanding if you ever feel frustrated or just simply overwhelmed, so I can be very helpful when it comes to learning a challenging topic. I really think pronunciation is very important, since we almost always communicate verbally, and that's how we make first impressions. I became a Japanese teacher around 2010 after spending several years working hard towards earning my JLPT level 3; some years later, as an experiment, I decided to try applying what I had learnt about teaching and motivation in Spanish and acquired a diploma by the Cervantes Institute for teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

As previously stated, I currently occupy a teaching capacity in the Irish language, teaching in two local Grammar Schools. Previously, I had the opportunity to teach English in Spain for one year in a Primary School in Madrid. This was an extremely rewarding experience which helped me in my teaching journey. I throughly enjoy teaching, and love working alongside a student so that he or she achieves their full potential, or their desired outcome. As well as teaching in school, I also have 5 years of private tuition experience. The one-on-one teaching environment is another which I really enjoy!

I enjoy reflecting upon language, and I encourage my students to do so, not only to learn Spanish, but also to discover things about their own native language. As a teacher, I consider myself creative and practical, I can come up with activities and exercises on the spot to make my lessons more dynamic and fun, and I try to keep things simple and clear when a student is having a hard time with a topic that is difficult to understand. I know some topics can be harder than others, and not all students learn at the same pace, which is why I'm also very patient and respectful of my students' learning needs.

I'm learning German but my level is still elementary. I teach English, Spanish, French and Italian. Learning a foreign language is not as difficult as people usually say, trust me. It only takes practice, patience, confidence, and compromise to get to learn, write and speak well... I've been a teacher and a tutor for 10 years now and, during this time, I've concluded that having a great time is the best way to learn. So, be prepared to share your interests and practice while talking about different topics, especially those you care about. You know, learning a foreign language is getting to know and experience a brand new culture... It's like a whole new universe opening in front of us.

I consider myself a very supportive and patient teacher. My sessions are centered in the student, therefore I bring them company, guide and support, but they are the only protagonists who must construct their own knowlegde of the target language in the way that is most convenient for them, that's why, I like being someone very flexible, who gets adapted to the student needs, with the only aim to make it easier and enjoyable this long and not always very easy process of foreing language acquisition. Like in any other profession, being up to date is very important, so participating in trainings that help teachers to improve their performance in class are always part of my schedule.

I am not a teacher I am just a girl who was able to work and live in a lot of different countries. A girl that loves to share experiences and help people achieve their goals.
