I'm a foodie who loves languages, travel and .... eating!!! So that's why I'm a polyglot who should do a lot of exercises to burn a lot of calories by going to the gym!! :p As I love learning new languages for communicating with new people, I'm always glad that I can help my student to improve their communication skills for surviving in foreign countries, for example, Chinaaaa! XD I'm taking a master degree in "Teaching Portuguese As a Foreign Language" in Lisbon. After that, I will go back to Macau to finish my second year's lessons from the same master. My teaching style is always very flexible and effective because most of my students who take my lessons they will feel very comfortable to open their mouth to speak! I will help them to learn how to combine their knowledge in the real life by using new vocabs and expressions in a natural way! I will let the students speak on most of the time during the lesson in order to encourage them!!! And that is the secret to improve their target language!!!

I really enjoyed chatting about one of our shared hobbies today! I always learn a lot of fun and useful vocabulary/phrases when we chat, which is great. Even though I hadn't prepared like I should have, Choi Choi was very flexible and still made sure that the lesson was great fun.

Choi Choi was great! She had a very uncanny ability to gauge my level of Chinese through free-form conversation and spoke at a level so that there was only one or two elements in a sentence that I would ask and learn more about. Near the end of the lesson when I was getting a bit of Chinese fatigue we ended up switching over to learn a bit of Portuguese instead (another language which I'm trying to learn)! You would be hard-pressed to find another Mandarin teacher who can also teach Portuguese :)
