I have volunteered to teach people Mandarin and Chinese cultures in an Asian culture communicating event in UK at university, I've also taken part in Mandarin teaching in Mandarin society. For students who already acquired basic Mandarin knowledge, I can help them with vocabulary and grammar by not only telling them to memorize the characters but also explaining the meanings of every single Chinese character. For students who don't have experiences at all, I can start from the pinyin(which is like Chinese alphabet). All in all, I will adjust my method to meet the students needs. I'm a Chinese native speaker who obtained the TESOL certificate when I was about 21 years old. When I was 23 years old I went to Taiwan alone to further my studies. While living in Taiwan, I teach English part-time to primary school kids, also some university students.
