Hello! Ever since I took Latin in high school, I have been obsessed with languages. I like to talk about the best way to learn languages, and I love to talk about linguistics, which is the study of language. I love learning languages like Russian and Chinese because they each have a unique sound and character. I have also traveled to Costa Rica and Italy, and I would love to someday learn some of the Romance languages. Apart from language learning and travel, I also love to talk about technology and culture. I am amazed at how fast technology improves and interested to see how it affects our culture. I also love to talk about history and philosophy, and how ideas change over time. I wanted to be a teacher because I felt like there was a need for better foreign language teachers. I think too many teachers instruct their students in an outdated way, and I want to change that. As of right now, my teaching experience falls into two categories. The first is my internship/practicum that I did in the spring of 2018 with my former Latin teacher. I worked under my teacher, and I helped students with understanding the basic mechanics of Latin. The second category is teaching Sunday School at my church, where I gained experience teaching children and teenagers. Finally, I took four years of Latin and one year of Russian in high school.
