In this class we can explore topics that will help you speak in a clear and precise way while expanding your vocabulary and improving grammar/pronunciation no matter what your level is.  Fun and inspiring, time flies in this class.

Conversation

We start by looking at your current needs at work (emails, presentations, proposals, meetings, conferences, etc).  Once your confidence and fluency has increased we can expand to any business topics that are appealing to you.  If you currently do not need English at work, we can start by talking about your industry/job and/or business topics of interest/need.

Business English

We will look at 13 core categories of living a healthy and well rounded life.  With each topic we will review ideas/concepts/vocabulary.  You have the opportunity to really practice talking about these different areas of your life, where you are now, where you'd like to be and one action step that you can take to help you reach your goal.

Intro to Getting Healthy in English

There is no better way to spend your time than by deeply thinking about what you want, why you want it and how you're going to get it.  If you have a long list of things you want to do and don't seem to ever make much progress on them, this is the perfect class for you.  Getting clear on what you want is half of the battle.  This is an excellent opportunity to explore all aspects of your life  while practicing your English (both speaking and writing as you will be writing down your answers).  This is actually a 12 session class, we can find a way to add on the other 2 classes as a 12-package offering is not available here.

Informal Tutoring

If you are interested in practicing English with your partner, this is a fun and affordable way to do so.  We will explore topics of interest while working on improving grammar, expanding vocabulary and building confidence.

I have experience teaching General English, Business English, test preparation, medical English and the hospitality industry as well.,I have a vast and varied history. I studied business and accounting in college. I worked in a resort for a year to test out the hospitality industry and then went in the opposite direction to Human Resources in a large bank. I also started teaching English as a volunteer with Literacy Plus, helping new immigrants adjust to life in the US and help them acquire the language skills they needed. I have either lived/studied and/or worked in Europe, Asia and Central/South America. Needless to say, I love to travel and to meet people from all over the world while learning about their culture. We are currently living in Bali, Indonesia and don't know what will be next! I really like to work in a student directed environment, meaning that students have a lot of input The more you are involved in your learning process, the more you will most likely learn. From the topics, to grammar focus, nothing is off limits. I add value and give suggestions, but prefer to follow your lead as you know you the best! I may know English better, but you are the expert on you. I like to use your real life situations as often as possible for class material, but there are also endless learning possibilities online. I work with all levels of students, but do prefer to work with adults  no young children, but mature teens are great . I tend to attract more intermediate/high level students, but I do teach all levels. I offer General English, Business English as well as English classes related to health.
