My name is Vanessa and I am a highly qualified Professional Spanish Teacher from Peru. I obtained a diploma in Spanish teaching from the Hemingway Institute (Spain), which is officially recognized and pedagogically oriented by the Cervantes Institute. The teaching methodology that I have learned is based on the communicative method, where the teaching of the new language focuses preferably in semantics than about formal aspects of the language. I love teaching my wonderful language here on Italki and helping my students improve their language skills, lose their fear of speaking and to even reach their goals. I am teaching Spanish to beginners, intermediate and high levels. I have five years of experience giving private lessons and giving online sessions in learning Spanish. I like to focus on the requests of my students, though I prefer an interactive methodology. I adapt my teaching style to the students’ needs. I always have patience and also I try to give clear explanations, using concrete examples and situations, and different learning materials. I believe the real purpose of learning a language is communication, therefore, my lessons are dynamic, interactive, with an emphasis placed on the development of student's abilities to speak and understand spoken Spanish.

Vanessa is hands down one of the best teachers I've ever had- including my teachers of other subjects. She has given a lot of thought to how to design my lessons so that I can reach my goals as fast as possible and has created a system that is working amazingly for me. Perfect lesson. Vane is a great teacher she explained me very clear the diference beetwen simple past and past continuos and share. One of the best teacher that I know on Italki.
