Hi My name is Minami. I'm from Yamanashi, Japan where Mt.Fuji is located. I majored in Public Relations at college in Kentucky. After moving back to Japan, I started working at a travel agency, a translation company and an IT related marketing company in Tokyo. I enjoy traveling. I have visited many places in the U.S. and Asia. Also, I have lived in Tokyo for over 10 years; so if you plan to travel to Tokyo, let me know. I can make a fun arrangement for you :) こんにちは。私の名前はみなみです。日本の山梨県出身です。アメリカの大学でPRを専攻し、日本帰国後は、旅行会社、翻訳会社、マーケティング会社で働いていました。趣味は旅行でアメリカ国内や、アジアの国々に行ったことがあります。私は東京に10年以上住んでいたので、みなさんが東京に行くときには、おすすめの場所など紹介したいとも思っています。 While in college, I tutored students in Japanese. I taught conversational Japanese (mostly JPN101 and 102), and also helped Japanese children with their homework for their local school in the United States. I can help explain difficult Japanese concepts to you in English to help you to fully understand each lesson before moving on to the next lesson. Thanks so much for the lesson today, our conversation was really fun and I've made lots of notes. I'm sure that I will be able to learn a lot from my conversations with Minami sensei! Looking forward to our next lesson.

I had a great trial lesson with Minami-sensei, she was very patient with me. When I didn't understand something, she will say again, or paraphrase to make it easier for me to understand. My speaking is not good so I was very nervous but she made me feel comfortable and not be afraid to try to express my ideas, even in my very broken Japanese. I look forward to having more lessons with Minami-sensei and recommend her to everybody. Thank you sensei. Anh
