My name is Catarina Goulart Mendes da Silva. I'm Brazilian and I live in Mogi Mirim, a small town near Campinas, in the São Paulo State, in the Southeast of Brazil. I'm 23 and I work as a Portuguese and English Teacher. Besides being passionate about learning and teaching foreign languages, I also like to study history, arts, philosophy and music. I can't really play anything, but that's in my future plans. I love Literature as well and I dream of writing a book someday. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family, exploring the wonders of internet and social media and traveling to wherever fits in my budget. I lived in Germany for 5 months and this was one of my greatest experiences ever. I have just graduated from University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where I studied Languages - Portuguese. However, my relationship with foreign languages goes way back. I've been learning English since I was 11, and teaching it since I was 16. During college, I also took a lot of interest in teaching Portuguese as a second or foreign language; I love the idea of teaching someone about my own beloved language and culture and, at the same time, learn about their languages and cultures. My greatest teaching experience was at the Language Without Borders program, which allowed me to teach English to university students for 2 years. Transcripts and Work Records - UNICAMP - 2020As you can read in the diploma, I am accredited with a Teaching degree in Portuguese. This means I had, in my curriculum, both languages and education components. In case you may feel the need to check these components, I am including a copy of my transcripts. I only have the complete transcripts in PTBR, but I’m also sending an almost complete version of them in English, which was issued a couple of months before my graduation.
