As a teacher, I enter each classroom with a rich experience allowing me to identify both a student's strengths and weaknesses. I am flexible and approachable, and I make a concerted effort to help ease any tensions a student may be feeling towards learning a new language or attempting to pass a test. I am a great believer that the learning experience should be a pleasurable one, and that people perform best in the classroom when they are enjoying the process. I am British and speak the English language with a very neutral accent which makes me easy to understand. I am also very familiar with the IELTS test, having successfully coached many students from around the world to reach their goal.

My greatest passion is teaching. I have taught students ages 4 to 68; and all levels, from advanced executive training to pre-beginners, and even accent reduction. It is rewarding to experience my students transform their understanding of the language, achieve all necessary goals, and be really happy using their language skills. I am a teacher of communicative English with more than 8 years of teaching experience. I can also teach my native language Bengali with the same ease. My courses are designed to suit the individual need of students as I believe each students have different learning styles. I teach English and Bengali from A1 - C2 level. I can also guide students in test preparation like TOEFL. . I always focus on the requirements of students and regularly monitor their progress by holding various tests.

I am teaching Spanish to beginners, intermediate and high levels. I have five years of experience giving private lessons and giving online sessions in learning Spanish. I like to focus on the requests of my students, though I prefer an interactive methodology. I adapt my teaching style to the students’ needs. I always have patience and also I try to give clear explanations, using concrete examples and situations, and different learning materials. I believe the real purpose of learning a language is communication, therefore, my lessons are dynamic, interactive, with an emphasis placed on the development of student's abilities to speak and understand spoken Spanish.

I've always believed that teaching should be a part of my career because I love it and I believe in its value. Bringing the juice of my experience in learning and languages and using them as a powerful tool in real-life situations to negotiate, persuade, communicate and solve problems. I'm constantly following new methods and tools for learning and teaching languages. I'm a young teacher who can relate to the challenges which can face people in my generation to learn and speak a language, I can put my self in their shoes and help them.

There isn't a clear boundary between "Me as a Teacher" and "Me as someone else". I think this is the best description about me: Teaching is my life. I am devoted to it so I can't separate myself into various faces. All I have is one face; my teaching face. Passionate, boisterous and dynamic, these are the adjectives that best describe my attitude toward teaching and "Me as a Teacher".

I have been teaching English since July 2018. About a year ago, I went back to study to become a teacher and came back with a distinction and a qualification -TQUK Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (RQF). I also completed an additional 20 Hours of classroom practice. I progressed further and successfully completed and passed a 30-hour Teaching Business English course and this has become my forte and I focus on teaching students at all levels from elementary to intermediate to advanced level where they want to improve their language skills for business or general english.

I am very dynamic in the classes and have many different ways to help out the students. I will go slow of fast, depending on the student´s level.

I am a certified English Tutor (TESOL); specifically teaching English to speakers of other Languages. I specialize in IELTS, Business English, Conversational and others. I have also taught science-related subjects at University level where i hold a Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering. I have close to 10 years in both traditional classroom settings and on the internet. I have prepared students for IELTS, TOEFL, FCE, and CAE.

During my schooldays I discovered that I excelled in language classes and I chose English and French as major subjects. Later on, I had the chance to intensify my language skills and add other languages during a vocational training and tourism studies. While I learned those languages in a classical classroom setting, there were no language courses or books available to learn the languages of Malaysia. I had to learn them by listening to and communicating with the local people. I might not have the qualifications of a professional teacher, but I can tap into my experiences of learning languages and I can draw a lot of valuable and useful knowledge from there to share with you.

I love teaching kids as well as adults of diverse ages and backgrounds in a variety of settings. I have various materials which includes flashcards, picture dictionaries, grammar and vocabulary textbooks as well as a vast array of general English learning materials .

The reason I have decided to start tutoring on italki is because I love to help people, communicate with them in the language I love and learn about their different cultures. I've been teaching German and English for more than three years and I've taught students from all over the world.
