Had another great lesson today with Mauro! As always, he was quick on his feet to tailor the conversation to my personal interests and activities. For example, he found out that I was trying to read Harry Potter in Spanish and had me give a quick plot summary. At the same time, we've been doing a structured, step-by-step tour of Spanish grammar, with a new element every week. Mauro has really helped me improve my Spanish over the past several months and I recommend him highly!

I started working with Mauro as my Spanish teacher about a year and a half ago. When we started I was a Spanish speaking novice at best -- and the little Spanish I did know I was very nervous to talk to anybody for fear of making a mistake, sounding foolish or embarrassing myself. Last week I just returned from a family vacation to Spain. Mauro challenged me to not speak ANY English while on this trip. Let me tell you the trip was amazing and I really surprised myself at how far my Spanish had come. Not only was I able to do the basics, but I was holding conversations with taxi drivers, waiters, hotel employees, shop owners and other people we met on our trip. I credit Mauro with my success. Not only has Mauro been an incredible teacher over the past 1.5years (we have a lesson once per week), but he has given me the confidence to overcome my fears and move outside of my comfort zone. Anyone who is considering learning Spanish, I highly recommend Mauro--he is amazing teacher!

I learn new things every lesson, even and sometimes especially when we go in an unplanned direction. I always enjoy my lessons with Mauro.

It’s a year since my last lesson and I enjoyed this lesson as much as my past lessons. It was great to have a structured session where my weaknesses were identified and work began on improving theses errors. A wonderful vibrant, enthusiastic teacher refreshing my knowledge. He was wonderful a usual...what was great is that we talked about the difference in pronunciation between the Latin cultures.. so I learned so much... great lesson.
