I am a native level French and English speaker, and an experienced French teacher as well as a Cambridge certified teacher of English as a foreign language. I've been teaching languages since 2012. I'm eager to share what I know with you and I'm sure I'll learn from you as well. One-to-one tutoring has always been my favourite: it allows me to focus on one student at a time, adapt to his or her own learning style and try to prepare materials with their own goals in mind. I try to boost my students' self-confidence and help them get passed their fear of expressing themselves in a foreign language.

I started my teaching career during my senior year of high school when I taught in a 3rd grade classroom. In university I tutored exchange students in English, and have even tutored children in piano. Since then I've spent almost 5 years teaching in different countries. As much as I like teaching languages I also enjoy learning languages. This helps me see things from your perspective and understand how to most effectively help you reach your goals.

As a teacher, in the last 25 years of experience, I've come across many different students. I currently teach English in an English school here in Italy, that's the reason my availability was limitated in the last year. Each one of them has their own characteristics and learning capacities. I try to elaborate custom methods together with the student, in order to reach the best learning procedure to use, from schematizations to memory methods, linguistic assonance and much more. I think that each student has a great potential and that the best teacher is the teacher that is able to take this potential and make it grow!

I have 15 years experience teaching online and face-to-face classes, specializing in General and Business English, conversation classes and special programs. I have a few grammar workshops available for online study, but I also just like meeting new students for conversation classes. What originally led me to teaching were my high school teachers and my mother who always has talked about her grandfather that was a teacher. Teaching is a noble profession. That's why I am here to ease that frustration and to provide the best techniques to learn French and gain the confidence to speak at whichever level you desire. I love to see that transformation of my students starting with speaking just a few words to forming elaborate sentences with a great French accent. It is extremely fulfilling to watch my students immerse themselves in the French language just as I did when I was learning.

I still remember the first time I had to do a formal presentation in a foreign language at work, it was a thrilling experience, to say the least! Ever since then, I knew that I had to work in something that required a lot of human interaction, and cross-cultural communication. Although my previous work experience was not exactly as a teacher, I did have to successfully perform various tasks that teachers usually do. Presenting information in a clear and compelling way, evaluating the proper understanding of those topics, and adapt whatever needs to be adapted for constant improvement.

I’m a Cambridge/CELTA qualified professional native English teacher with over 2 years experience in the classroom environment. I began teaching in International House Dublin which is part of the IH network spanning 52 countries with over 160 language centres. I’ve been teaching in a public school and private language centre in Hanoi since February 2019. I’ve taught General, Academic and Business English to students from all over the world.
