Hello everyone, my name is Ben. I am a native speaker of Indonesian language (or we call it Bahasa Indonesia). I am from Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. I work as an Independent Singer-Songwriter. I studied Broadcasting and obtained a bachelor degree in Communication Science. Learning language is my biggest passion because I love to help people to speak my native language. I also speak English fluently. I am here to offer an informal tutorial lesson on italki for foreigners who want to learn Indonesian language. As I have explained, I am here to help people learning Indonesian. So this is my motivation why I want to join italki as a Community Tutor. My area of expertise are teaching Indonesian for beginners, intermediate and advance level. My goals are to help people speak Indonesian fluently and make them know better about Indonesian language. As an Indonesian, being a Community Tutor is also a great way to introduce Indonesian culture. My teaching approach is really simple. I am focused more on improving your speaking skills (e.g. pronunciation, spelling, accents) through conversation practice. But I also give general lessons about Indonesian language, particularly grammar, reading and writing. They can ask me anything about the vocabulary or specific grammar, and even talking about the history and culture of Indonesia.
