I have been travelling and living abroad for almost 5 years now. I am an outdoor enthusiast and love to practice any type of sport, especially in nature. Whenever it’s possible I try to be on the move somewhere. I am also passionate about languages, history and Latin&Slavic culture. One of my favorite things in life is to explore the world with a backpack, and a camera, being at the same time totally immersed in a foreign culture. Being a teacher for me means to transmit energy, passion and motivation to learn a new language. For me every lesson is my personal promise to give my best attitude, energy and knowledge to every single student. Throughout years of study I tested on my own skin various approaches to language learning and developed natural, informal and very communicative approach to teaching. I am happy to help you understand that a path to accomplish your language learning goals and gain more confidence can be both rewarding and fun by adjusting lesson flow to your needs and level. I am open to feedback and value fluency over accuracy. Your confidence, interests and needs always go first. I would like to invite you to feel free in your learning zone in order to develop fluency and vocabulary for what you need it most. Also, I am happy to provide you with the most useful words for every lesson, extra articles, interesting podcasts or suggestion for video that will enhance your learning process if you like to. Today was my first Beginner's Polish lesson with Tomasz. A week in advance, he had already sent me an excellent PDF document, explaining the sounds of the alphabet (+ example words), along with some tricky Polish phonetics & useful Polish verbs (with their conjugations). He also thoughtfully suggested some cheerful Polish music to get me in the mood for learning. During the lesson itself, we reviewed all of this material, and began having some short dialogues. Tomasz is clearly a very gifted teacher, with bundles of enthusiasm! His carefully-structured and informative lesson was punctuated with clear and meticulous explanations of grammar and vocabulary, and the whole hour was imbued with a real sense of fun, as well as plenty of free-flowing conversation. I come away feeling refreshed, revitalised, and keen to learn more. With Tomasz as a teacher, I'm sure I will make great strides in my Polish learning in future!
