Today I had my 200th lesson with Amy 선생님, all taken within this year, almost every single day so far in 2019. She’s been a tremendous help and very supportive of my (very ambitious) goal of reaching the B2 level within 1 year. We still have 3 months to go, and lots to learn, but I wouldn’t stand a chance, or progressed as much, without Amy! 정말 감사합니다!

Another great lesson with 에이미 선생님! Tonight we kicked things off chatting about weekend plans - I always find this a great start to our lessons because it helps me build vocabulary related to things I do on a daily basis. Sometimes it leads to fun tangents too - this evening, for example, it ended up morphing into a discussion about the final season of Game of Thrones. After that, it was onto new vocabulary and reading a story. The latter was an excellent exercise. I would read a section and then 에이미 선생님 would ask me questions. As a result, it was not only a good speaking/pronunciation exercise but a good comprehension and listening exercise too. Props to 에이미 선생님 for always changing things up, keeping me on my toes and making our lessons fun, interesting and productive. It's no mean feat to do that week in, week out while remaining steadfastly supportive and patient at the same time. If you are looking to book a Korean lesson with an italki tutor, I cannot recommend 에이미 선생님 more highly.

I started learning with Amy 선생님 since the early stages of my Korean learning studies, and I can honestly say she is one of the most supportive, helpful and kind teachers out there. She provides full, comprehensive lessons that help with reading, writing, listening and speaking practice and they are always fun. I can honestly say I have learned a lot from her and recommend her lessons! Thank you!

Amy 선생님 is a really wonderful teacher. Typically, we start out class chatting about how our respective week’s have been or what we have next on the docket - this is a great way for 선생님 to introduce new words that are both relevant to my life and likely to come up in casual conversation. I also get a chance to “freestyle" and to try putting the grammar I am learning to work. Next, we review my homework. 선생님 is great at explaining where I went wrong and always checks to make sure I don’t have any other questions before we move on. Next up is either a new grammar concept or drills to help reinforce a previously introduced concept. I really like that 선생님 changes things up with a variety of exercises designed to practice both listening and reading comprehension, as well as exercises that offer more opportunities for speaking practice. Throughout, 선생님 keeps things both fun and interesting, and we invariably have more than a few laughs in each lesson! Highly recommend.
