I am a highly experienced ESL teacher having spent more than 10 years in this field, teaching a variety of students from different age groups, ability levels and educational backgrounds. I have also helped students work towards a diverse selection of goals, from improving general English conversation skills to preparing for their IELTS exam. Since the beginning of my teaching career in 2005, I have worked in, both government and private schools, universities and private language institutions. In 2014, I began making the transition to online teaching which now makes up for the majority of my working week. These positions have equipped me with the necessary skills. As a teacher, I enter each classroom with a rich experience allowing me to identify both a student's strengths and weaknesses. I am flexible and approachable, and I make a concerted effort to help ease any tensions a student may be feeling towards learning a new language or attempting to pass a test. I am a great believer that the learning experience should be a pleasurable one, and that people perform best in the classroom when they are enjoying the process. I am British and speak the English language with a very neutral accent which makes me easy to understand. I am also very familiar with the IELTS test, having successfully coached many students from around the world to reach their goal.
