Do you want to sound like a native Somali speaker? Do you want to have natural conversations with and be understood by Somalis who hail from every corner of the Horn of Africa? Do you want to learn fascinating aspects of Somali culture? Book a lesson with me and check how easy it is! I'm a friendly person currently located in Somaliland. I love Hargeisa (my home city) and I do everything I can to make you feel comfortable and have a great time during our Somali lessons. I'm a British Somali, an English language university lecturer, a scientist, with a Master's Degree in water and environmental management. I'm also a guitarist, and love poetry and prose.
I am patient, calm and friendly. I use mostly my own specialized materials for teaching, but also some books and online material to explain any topic as clear and effective as possible. I realized that I loved teaching. Since I didn't go through the normal route to get a teaching certificate in college, when I finally did start teaching I put a lot of pressure on myself to be the best teacher I could be and to really reach my students.
My classes are private, so I try to customize the class for each student and to identify their needs. I try to help each person to reach their language goals of fluency and to give them the skills to be a better language learner so that they aren't dependent upon me or any other teacher or material. My main goal is for the student to speak 80% of the time in class.我的教材
