I love languages! To me, learning a new language means getting to know the world and yourself from a whole new perspective. I still study some languages myself, among which French, German and Czech. I have taught Dutch at university to groups of international students and in companies in Prague. Outside of the language realm, I have a master's degree in international public policy and currently aim to specialize in environmental policy and nature conservation. My passions are: history, nature, food and drinks, society and art. They're useful themes for me when I study a new language. Let's soon discover which themes work best for you! :-) I'm very easy-going in terms of contact and interaction, but I do believe in the power of scheduled learning. There's no fixed road to success when it comes to languages. If it's your goal to write recipes in Dutch while living abroad, then great, let's focus on what you need to get there! Once we establish why you want to study the language and which methods work best for you, we should find out how it's easiest for you to commit to studying the language. I like to do this by integrating moments of practice into my daily schedule, for example by changing the language of my phone or computer or actively thinking bilingually while doing groceries. A typical class will include some revision, some time to discuss your questions and needs, the introduction of a new topic or rule and lots of time to practice!
