Bonjour :) I'm Mai, I was born in Tours, in the Loire Valley, and I grew up in Bordeaux. I've been away from France for 5 years and I now live in New Zealand where I work as a French teacher. I've always loved languages: at Uni I was studying Japanese, and took night classes for English and Swedish. I love travelling! I've been to England, Spain, Netherlands, Thailand and Australia, and lot of other cool places are on my bucket list. I love speaking about various topics like history, culture (a lot of pop culture actually because I'm a bit nerdy), politics, cinema... Now three very important things I love: cats, pizzas and makeup! Now come chat with me, let's make you speak French :D I started off as a volunteer tutor back when I was studying at Uni, helping middle school and high school students improve their English. I have now been teaching full-time since beginning 2016: first in New Zealand schools, then for a year in Australia where I was working at the same time in schools and at the Alliance Française, as well as providing one-on-one private tuitions. Now back in NZ, I work only with Alliance Française, both as a teacher and as a DELF/DALF examiner. Because I really like the mecanics of languages, I specialise in teaching grammar. I mostly teach adults, sometimes teenagers, so conversation classes are also one of my strength. I validated all my classes, I only have to hand over my thesis and present it, this coming September.

Enseignante de FrançaisAlliance Française Wellington - Wellington, 紐西蘭I teach French as foreign language to teenagers and adults of verious levels, from beginners (A1) to advanced (B2-C1), both in classes of 5 to 12 students and through one-on-one private tuitions. Depending on the type of class, I either follow a program based on the progression recommended by the Council of Europe, or I compose supports and activities for conversation classes. I'm also an examiner for DELF and DALF exams (I create preparing classes and tuitions, correct copies and assess orals).
