Hi! I'm Ayaka. Nice to meet you. I like to sing songs, playing sanshin (an Okinawan instrument) and playing with animals! I majored in international relations in university and have experience studying abroad in America and Hong Kong. I worked for a Japanese company for a few years before I started my career as a Japanese language teacher. I'm excited to talk with people all over the world with italki! はじめまして、あやかです。 歌を歌うこと、三線を弾くこと、動物と遊ぶことが大好きです。 大学では国際関係学の勉強をして、アメリカと香港で留学をしたことがあります。日本の会社で働いたこともあります。italkiでみなさんと繋がれることにワクワクしています！ I think when you study a language, it is important to enjoy and not to give up on it. I'll do my best to support you so that you can feel relaxed while enjoy learning, and achieve your goal. I'll not only teach Japanese language but also help figure out how to study effectively and keep your motivation high. 語学は「楽しむこと」と「続けること」が大切だと思っています。 生徒さんが目標達成のために、楽しく勉強を続けられるように、一生懸命サポートしていきます。 日本語を教えることはもちろんですが、勉強方法やモチベーションについても相談できるような、生徒さんに近い存在になりたいと思っています。 I like to structure my lessons around my students goals, whether you want to focus more on conversation or more on grammar and reading. I have now completed 4 classes with Ayaka and she is a perfect teacher indeed! She ticks all the boxes for me: 1) She speaks very good english which is important for more complex explanations as my japanese is still quite limited. 2) She is very patient when I am not able to answer rapidly and last not least 3) She gives positive feedback which encourages a lot! Ayaka takes part in your learning process and is honestly happy when you are advancing! This has made me feel much more confident, learning japanese can be tough at times...

That was so fun! Ayaka is very kind and patient. She is very thoughtful and made sure that each thing we went over I understood. If you are feeling shy or nervous about starting your lessons much like I was, Ayaka is perfect she did a great job at making my first trial lesson very fun. I am going to be booking my next lesson right now :)
