My name is Josep and I am from Terrassa, a town near Barcelona, Spain. I am a freelance Spanish, Catalan and French teacher and translator. During my studies, I majored in languages and obtained a Diploma in Translation and Interpretation and a Certification in Education (C.A.P), at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I love languages, teaching, travelling to other countries, foreign cultures, swimming and meditation. My mother tongues are Spanish and Catalan and I speak perfect French, English and a little bit of Italian and Russian. I have lived in different countries: Spain, France and Ireland; and I have recently arrived in Pisa, Italy. I got a certification in Education (C.A.P) specialised in teaching languages, at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2007. I also got a certification in Teaching Spanish as a foreign language at Cálamo & Cran, Barcelona, in 2009. My experience in teaching in France, Spain and Ireland has allowed me to improve my language skills, as well as to increase my ability to adapt to new cultures and environments. I have been teaching at High Schools in France, as a language instructor for companies in Barcelona and Paris, and in private lessons during my years in these countries. Our first lesson was fantastic, a wonderful learning experience and he was able to quickly figure out my speaking level and adjust his teaching to accomodate. The lesson was about a 60/40 split Spanish/ English and I felt as though I was truly learning. Will definitely schedule more lessons in the near future!
