My choice of teaching as a career was not made lightly; rather, it was the culmination of a process of reflection about what I wanted to do with my life and my education. I have chosen education as a career because I believe that education is perhaps the most important function performed in our culture, or for that matter, any culture. I wanted to be part of this noble profession, and someday to be counted among those in whom future preservice teachers found inspiration.

As a teacher, I enter each classroom with a rich experience allowing me to identify both a student's strengths and weaknesses. I am flexible and approachable, and I make a concerted effort to help ease any tensions a student may be feeling towards learning a new language or attempting to pass a test. I am a great believer that the learning experience should be a pleasurable one, and that people perform best in the classroom when they are enjoying the process. I am British and speak the English language with a very neutral accent which makes me easy to understand. I am also very familiar with the IELTS test, having successfully coached many students from around the world to reach their goal.

Describing myself as a teacher, I would say that I’m very patient, motivated and flexible. I offer experience, guidance, and support to help students towards their individual goals. I have taken more than 10,500 lessons on this site alone and I still feel as passionate about tutoring as I did when I first started.

Back in 2011, I trained for the Trinity College TESOL Certification in London (UK). As soon as I graduated, I was hired by the language school to begin teaching students. After a few months, I moved to Seville (Spain) and began teaching at a language academy in Seville (Spain). I also became a coordinator for TESOL Spain, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing continued training and support to teachers of English. After a number of years, I moved to Buenos Aires (Argentina) and began working as a human resources consultant for multinational organisations.
