About Me

I've been teaching English as a Foreign Language for 15 years in live classrooms, and 7 years online. I speak English and Spanish and specialize in IELTS and TOEFL preparation which I have been doing for 7 years. My background is in Environmental Science, Environmental Journalism and Writing, I am also a published author and podcaster. I enjoy talking about so many different topics it never gets boring. I've been told I am patient and supportive as a teacher. I really love meeting new people, learning about their story and passions and being able to help them be better communicators gives me a lot of satisfaction. We discuss current affairs, science and technology, business and economics, education and creativity, culture and travel, emotional intelligence and philosophy, these are subjects I also give homework in. I am able to help students build their confidence in speaking with fluency about many different topics and more sophisticated vocabulary for homework. I am very experienced in helping students prepare for their IELTS, CAE, FCE, TOEFL and the OET for medical professionals.
