Hello there budding English students!It's a pleasure to introduce myself to you. Firstly, my name is Samuel Barber, and I'm a certified English teacher. I've always been passionate in philosophy and theology, art, music and building my knowledge to improve myself as a person and teacher. I'm a easy going, motivated and a dedicated English teacher who is comitted to working towards your personal learning goals. I have seven years teaching English with a degree in philosophy and theology (also started a PhD), a teaching qualification (CELTA)and heaps of experience gained in universities in Japan and English international schools in the UK and China. Do you want to practise English for exams? I have extensive experience and specilaise in IELTS, Cambridge exam prep(FCE, CAE, CPE,)TOEIC and TOEFL with further experience in Business, Economics and Academcic English. I have been involved in designing and initiating an Economics English, Film Studies and Creative writing curriculum. My teaching method is pretty much about providing the student with workable language, at a pace that is good for them, offering as much time as they can to communicate, make mistakes and enjoy themselves. I believe that English should always be used in a context, so providing the context, the language and a laid back environment means students are able to feel more confident in using the language. My expectations from my students are that they, firstly, and most importantly, speak, and make mistakes....
