About Me

I have lived in the USA, Hong Kong, Peru, Japan and Germany. English and Chinese are my native languages, but I also speak Spanish and Japanese. I love traveling and learning about food and culture. I have taught English to high school students in Japan for two years, and have also taught adults and other ages in Japan, Peru, and Hong Kong and Thailand. My main focuses are on -conversation -cultural fluency -grammar -essay-writing -pronunciation -interview preparation -oral test preparation (eg. IELTs, Eiken, CAE). **However, I do not specialise in teaching children online. Everybody’s path for language learning is different based on your personality, goals and interests. I want to figure out learning methods that work specifically for you. I study 3 languages myself, so I am very familiar with the ups and downs of language study. I can help you find material that actually holds your interest and study methods that can fit your schedule. I will help you gain confidence in your language potential, so that you enjoy the process instead of being intimidated by it. I will immerse you in English during the lesson and encourage you to talk a lot.
