About Me

My name is François Normandeau. I was born in Montreal (Quebec), Canada, in 1970. I have lived and worked in Canada, Italy, Mexico, France, China, Monaco, Hungary and Spain. For the last 20 years, my main occupation was related to financial markets. I am a trader (US Oil market) and I give courses and seminars. In February 2017 I was hired as a French teacher by the Universitat Popular of Benicarlo (province of Castellon), on the eastern coast of Spain. I really liked the experience and I have continued my teaching activities since then. I now assist individuals from around the world, giving French and English courses, in person and online. I look forward to assisting you soon! I am kind and patient, and I easily forgive the many mistakes that students make. Occasionally, when appropriate, I correct and illustrate how best to improve. But my style of teaching is not rigorous or severe or unforgiving. I prefer to adopt a teaching style where students enjoy and have a good time, because I have often witnessed that if students really enjoy each lesson then their progress is easier and quicker. I love to share all that I love about English and French culture. My main goal is to focus on conversational skills, so that students can quickly move beyond the shyness they experience as they try to speak a new language. I want to focus each lesson and session on practical and meassurable goals, so that we can easily determine the type and rate of progress, of each student. I then...

François a expliqué tout ce que je demandé. Malheureusement, il avait un problème avec la connexion et à cause de ça nous ne pouvions pas nos se voir, mas nous pouvions nos écouter, alors ça marche! Mais même avec ce problème, la leçon était bonne et profitable.
