About Me
italki teacher since May 25, 2020 Hi, my name is Marci and I'm from Budapest, Hungary, currently living in London. I tend to think of myself as a pretty versatile person who's done all sorts of things in life: I've worked as a psychologist, a dog trainer, a teacher of English, a translator, an interpreter, and even as a bellboy. I've also helped students prepare for language exams, e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, FCE etc., which I enjoy a lot (who knew taking a test could be fun, huh?). I have 200+ hours of experience in teaching general and business English in a corporate setting. I am a native speaker of Hungarian.
In my lessons, I mainly focus on helping my students to build certain skills that they will find useful in their personal life and in their job / studies / wherever they will use the language. I always make sure that I know what my students are going to use the language for and plan the lessons accordingly. I tend to focus on existing skills and strengths rather than on weaknesses and errors. I enjoy getting to know what my students think about various subjects and discuss interesting topics with them. I am a big...My teaching material
