‘Much of who you are is where you have been.’ I have been traveling to over 130 cities in 22 countries so far. I love to see the difference among countries, dig into why they are different, learn each culture, and do what the locals do. I also love to share my experiences and cultural facts with others, which brought my path to the education field. With experiences in my career and trips, I found out that open-minded heart, as well as growth and understanding mindset, is a key to be harmonious with others. My majors are English Language and Korean as a foreign language. I was fascinated to teach what I know while I was an English teacher in Korea for four years and I learned how to pour love to my students by spending quality time. Moreover, teaching Korean at the university in the USA made me feel more proud of what I am doing as a native speaker. As a teacher, I consider communication as well as knowledge as the top priority to know what students are struggling with and help with it properly. I can be your friend-like teacher! As a language learner, I prefer to learn grammar but I found out that it is not helping me to speak fluently because the knowledge of grammar stops me from speaking in the language freely. So my class will be more focused on real-life conversations then back up with the grammars related to them. Some words and expressions will be given with the flashcards app before the class starts so that you can fully enjoy the conversation in the class.

Jinsol is so kind and patient with her lessons. She really takes the time to help me practice while explaining concepts very clearly, and the additional resources that she's made and provided are also a big help. Additionally, she's been very good about personalizing lessons to my language needs, and she both encourages me while providing helpful feedback so that I can improve.
