About Me

italki teacher since May 6, 2020

I was born in Tokyo and raised in Chiba. I now live in London, England and working as a sound engineer. Although I had never studied English after high school or travelled outside of Japan, I decided to live abroad when I was 26 years old. I've lived in Canada, USA and UK since then. I studied hard and now I'm working among native English speakers. I'd love to share my experience with you who are trying to gain a new language skill. I love travelling and have done a road trip in the USA and have visited around 20 countries. I always enjoy meeting people from all over the world and knowing their culture and life. I hope I can talk with you have fun communication :) Although I have never formally trained in teaching language, I have voluntarily taught Japanese for many years. I’ve attended to language exchange lessons in Toronto and New York and taught Japanese to people from all over the world (e.g. American, Canadian, Russian, Polish, German, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc.) from very beginners to fluent people. I made close friends who learn Japanese and we always asked and taught each other when I was studying English. One of my best friends is an American and he still asks me about the Japanese language even after he moved to Japan. Eno is an amazing teacher! Felt very comfortable although it was only my first time using italki! He made speaking Japanese fun and non-intimidating, which allowed me to open up and voice any difficulties I had in translating certain words and phrases into Japanese.

Eno is soooooo great! He prepared a variety of materials in Japanese language for me to learn n review. That's really amazing. I learned a lot from our first lesson n I need to memorize n practice those words, phrases n sentences much lol. Highly recommend.
