About Me

Ich bin 22 Jahre alt, komme aus Sankt Veit im Pongau in Österreich und studiere Internationale Betriebswirtschaft in Wien. Vor meinem Studium verbrachte ich ein Jahr als Deutsch- und Englischlehrer in Russland. Meine Freizeit verbringe ich gern in der Natur, zum Beispiel beim Bergsteigen in Salzburg. Außerdem erkunde ich gerne geschichtliche Denkmäler wie Burgen oder römische Ruinen. I am 22 years old, I come from a small village in the Austrian Alps and am studying International Business in Vienna. Before I started studying, I spent a year in Russia as an English and German teacher. When I am not studying, I love spending time in nature, I hike a lot and love skiing and mountain climbing. Außer meines Freiwilligenjahres in Russland habe ich auch während meines Auslandssemesters in Frankreich Deutsch und Englisch unterrichtet. Except for my voluntary year in Russia, I tought English and German during my semester in France too. Ich selbst lerne Sprachen am besten mittels Musik, Dokumentationen, Interviews oder Zeitungsartikeln und lege deshalb auch beim Lehren den Fokus auf diese Medien. Natürlich biete ich auch klassischen Grammatik- und Vokabelunterricht mit entsprechenden Übungen. I myself learn a language best by listening to music, watching documentaries and reading newspapers, that's why I lay my focus on these types of media when teaching too. Obviousely, I do classical grammar and vocabulary exercises too, as I find them as important.

It was a lot of fun to learn about Austrian German with Mark! Throughout the lesson, we listen to examples of various dialects through songs, for which he would explain the vocabulary and gave comparisons to his own Salzburger dialect. I really enjoyed it, und ich freue mich auf das nächste Mal :-)
