Hello Everyone! My name is Olga and I am 41. I am a Russian native speaker born in Ukraine but I have been living in Greece for 16 years so far. Teaching has always been my true calling. This is from where all my other skills and talents grow. Apart from it I love reading, yoga, tennis, going to the cinema and theatre and meeting new people. Living by the sea and and watching ships coming in and out of the Piraeus port set the stage for my new career in shipping business, where I am mostly involved as an interpreter. My name is Olga and I am a qualified teacher of English, Russian and Greek with a degree from Athens University and Gorlovka teachers' training institute of foreign languages (Ukraine). I started teaching just after my graduation in 2001, first as an English language instructor at the Mining University of Ukraine. After I moved to Greece and continued my career and studies. I worked as an interpreter as well mostly in shipping business. At the moment I am a student myself at the Institute of Chartered shipbrokers, London trying to obtain a professional qualification in this field. At every lesson I usually manage to cover all the aspects of learning a language, i.e. speaking, reading, listening and grammar. I try and give advice on how to learn new vocabulary effectively and how to overcome a language barrier. I also pay attention as per selection of study material and text books. They need to be smart and entertaining as well as effective in teaching.
