Hey there, my name is Christoph. I'm 25 years old and I'm passionate for languages and outdoor sports. Personally, I love learning languages and am always looking to improve my language skills. Besides my mother tongue German, I speak English, Spanish and French fluently. When I lived in Catalonia, I even had the chance to pick up some Catalan. In addition, I like to spend my time surfing, playing guitar and reading. At the moment, I'm doing my master of education in the subjects Spanish and Physical Education in order to become a high-school teacher. In particular, language teaching didactics is an integral part of my studies. In the past, I've worked in language schools in Germany and Spain teaching German and English. I've had the chance to teach kids, teenagers as well as adults. I believe, with the knowledge I've acquired during my studies mixed with my teaching experience and my own background as a language learner, I'm able to put myself into your position as a language student and design German lessons according to your needs. Language is an instrument of communication. Thus, my approach to language teaching focuses on communication without leaving behind grammar. I like to include grammar lessons, whenever mastering a communicative situation requires the use of a certain grammatical structure. Great class! It is easy to talk to Christoph. Most of the class was in German, but he speaks slower if needed, especially when explaining grammar concepts. The grammar section usually involves some work on a website and an associated game. So far, conversation practice usually revolves around an article we read together, or a prompt related to the grammar section. You can also request homework, which so far has consisted of various news articles to read and an audio/written response to it, podcast suggestions, and writing responses to prompts.
