My experience includes ten years experience teaching English at the secondary and university levels, five years experience teaching Business English to executives and professionals, including lawyers and engineers, plus eight years teaching primary grade students in the public schools in the United States My study of languages includes German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Latin, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. My second language is Spanish. I like to use visual aids (photos and videos) to teach English conversation.

Here in China I found a lot of people, both kids and adults that wanted to speak or learn from foreigners. As such I slowly learned how to teach people. Now I feel confident to teach English as well as Dutcha Teaching is a lot of fun to me, seeing students grow from beginners into full native speakers is great. My accent is neutral having both North American and British exposure, so is especially useful to those thinking of travelling to either the UK or US. I offer a speciality lesson "English Conversations about Business" which may be of interest to those pursuing a business career. This course is an introduction to a wide range of business topics and may be beneficial to you before considering enrolling in a more advanced Business English course. But whether you are interested in Business, or just everyday Conversational English, I can help you.

Prior to becoming a Film Editor, I worked as an English teacher in Guatemala City where I acquired an English Teacher Certificate at IGA (Instituto-Guatemalteco- Americano) While working as a teacher; I had the opportunity to work with different types of people; I taught children, teenagers, and adults. My goal now is to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to every student.

I started tutoring people in language and in math during my university days, and early on learned that patience is a big factor in making the student(s) learn comfortably. This comes from my experience at my secondary school where due to the high amount of cultural exchange and engagement you begin to understand that everyone has a different way of understanding things. It is also because of these experiences that I believe that the practical sessions are a little more important than the theory aspect of things. Hence I tend to put more focus on actual practicing of the speaking by having regular conversations so people are more adept to the everyday usage of the language.

I have been improving my teaching methods through years by attending seminars in different fields and trying to find the easiest possible way to help my students learn a foreign language effectively. I like being a teacher because at the same time I teach my students and learn from them as well. There is nothing more valuable for me than seeing a happy smile on the student's face after having some difficulties while learning a language and finally managing to overcome them. I have 5 years of experience in teaching adults (general English, business English, test preparation), teenagers (general English, test preparation), and children. I have been teaching English since 1999 and shortly after obtained my CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching Accreditation) teaching qualification. I have taught in five different countries= the UK, Spain, Hungary, Vietnam and Malaysia; presently I am living in Budapest, Hungary. My motivation for teaching? There are two reasons why I enjoy teaching; firstly, the feeling of satisfaction when you have helped someone pass an examination, be successful in their career, a job interview or even learn a difficult piece of grammar. Secondly; I love the English language! I love thinking about it and considering the best way to teach it.

Thanks to my friend I've been giving language lessons to people who wants to learn about the language. Close where I live there's a town that is full of tourists and most of them don't speak spanish then I've helped them to speak it.

If you are late 15 minutes, I will consider the lesson as complete.

I have been teaching German and English for some time and we can adapt each lessons to your individual language skills to make the best out of our time together. You can also suggest topics you would like to talk or learn about, if you want to. We can do classes where we mainly speak so you can improve your language skills and practice.

Teaching has been a great experience for me, I like to get to know my students and have real interactions, build up a relationship and work together towards their goal.

What originally led me to teaching were my high school teachers and my mother who always has talked about her grandfather that was a teacher. Teaching is a noble profession. I enjoy explaining how we in the US say the words (pronounce them) and how we put sentences together so they sound right. I think I'm a good teacher of English.

I customize my lesson for every individual student taking into account their preferences and learning needs. I also incorporate grammar, idioms, videos, homework, etc if the student needs that to succeed. I can offer both casual or customized lessons.
