I started off as a volunteer tutor back when I was studying at Uni, helping middle school and high school students improve their English. I have now been teaching full-time since beginning 2016: first in New Zealand schools, then for a year in Australia where I was working at the same time in schools and at the Alliance Française, as well as providing one-on-one private tuitions. Now back in NZ, I work only with Alliance Française, both as a teacher and as a DELF/DALF examiner. Because I really like the mecanics of languages, I specialise in teaching grammar. I mostly teach adults, sometimes teenagers, so conversation classes are also one of my strength.

I'd like to make you progress with the french language adapting my lessons to you. We will talk together about your points of interest and your needs : work requirements, school requirements, some help in grammar, vocabulary or simply conversation practice... Always making sure that the themes interest you.

I still remember the first time I had to do a formal presentation in a foreign language at work, it was a thrilling experience, to say the least! Ever since then, I knew that I had to work in something that required a lot of human interaction, and cross-cultural communication. Although my previous work experience was not exactly as a teacher, I did have to successfully perform various tasks that teachers usually do. Presenting information in a clear and compelling way, evaluating the proper understanding of those topics, and adapt whatever needs to be adapted for constant improvement.

As a language learner I learned more than 15 languages on italki, but I'm maintaining only 9 and learning my 10th (Chinese...). So I kind of know what are the mistake you should avoid as a beginner and give you some great tricks if you are already an advance student. As a teacher, my real job is a piano teacher, so teaching is my passion and this is what I was trained for!

I have been teaching in Italki for 5 years now and I have also taugth music or maths. I am passionate about learning and teaching is a real pleasure. I think that someone passionate can learn everything.

Since I live abroad, I have given private classes in both French and English to adults as well as to a teenager class in Peru. I just got a certification to teach FLE and am actively pursuing my training in that direction. Durant mes années à l’étranger, j'ai eu diverses expériences dans l'enseignement particulier des langues, FLE et anglais notamment. J'ai enseigné le Français et l'anglais en cours particuliers à des adultes au Canada et au Pérou ainsi qu'a une classe d'adolescents au Pérou. Je viens d'obtenir une première certification en FLE et suis en train de poursuivre ma formation.

J'ai commencé à apprendre l'allemand moi-même en faisant des échanges en français-allemand, que je trouve bien plus divertissant que d'apprendre dans les livres. Le mie lezioni sono rivolte a chi ha bisogno di fare conversazione per ottenere le basi o migliorare l'italiano o il francese parlato. Durante la lezione si cercherà di parlare esclusivamente in italiano/francese; sarà anche possibile leggere testi e studiare alcune regole di grammatica insieme.

Teaching is something I've always wanted to do. I am a patient person and I like to help others. I already had some teaching experiences in university. I speak two different languages and through travels and work I have been exposed to many cultures. I believe this gives me a good understanding of the difficulties new learners may have to understand the tricks of the French language, I will be helping you master them all.

Mis inicios en la pedagogía fueron a través de enseñar teatro en la Universidad de Chile en Santiago. Ahí tuve alrededor de 120 alumnos a lo largo de tres años. En Vietnam mis primeros trabajos fueron enseñando francés a niños entre 8 y 15 años. Ahí no solo enseñé Francés, si no que también enseñe teatro para reforzar la expresión oral en los estudiantes. Desde entonces también enseño el español por medio de clases particulares a adultos.

After having obtained my bachelor's degree in applied linguistics (Dutch-French-Spanish), I've started teaching languages, especially French, privately in 2016. I was lucky to have the opportunity to improve the language skills of 6 different students in different time periods. I'm eager to use my teaching skills, developped by giving the offline classes, in your online classes.
